It is with sadness that we share the news that UCBA member Bohdan B. Zarowsky died on Friday morning, July 27. He was 93. After a struggle with cancer over the past two years, he died peacefully in his sleep, with family. Panakhydy will be celebrated on Wednesday August 8 (8 p.m., visitation 6-9 p.m.) and Thursday August 9 (7:30 p.m., visitation 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.). The funeral will be held on Friday morning, August 10, at 10 a.m. at St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church on Queen at Bellwoods, after a final Panakhyda at Turner and Porter Funeral Home at Bloor and Windermere (between Jane and Runnymede), 2357 Bloor St West. The Tryzna will be held at Trident Banquet Hall at Islington and Evans (145 Evans Ave) after the burial at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to the Holodomor Memorial Project, or to a charity of your choice.
He was still going to his law office and advising his clients until December 2016. He adored his grandchildren – and his first great-grandson. Вічная Пам’ять.
